This 1U Rack Mount PS/2 KVM Switch offers a reliable solution for server room and industrial computer environments.

A reliable computer management tool that lets you control multiple computers from one source, the PS/2 KVM switch minimizes down time by making connected computers and input devices available as soon as they are attached; the PS/2 KVM switch is completely hot-pluggable, allowing you to add or remove peripheral devices (keyboards, mice, monitors etc) and cascaded switches without having to power down the KVM switch or the attached computers.

Adding further flexibility, the PS/2 KVM switch can operate as a dual display KVM, using our 8 Port Dual Display and Media Expansion Module (SV831MEDIA).

A versatile KVM solution, the 1U Rack Mount PS/2 KVM Switch offers dual console functionality that provides two access points, allowing the switch to be controlled from either of two user consoles.

The switch offers control of connected devices on a first come, first serve basis and features built-in security to prevent unauthorized access/control.

A broadly compatible device and server control solution, the 1U PS/2 KVM switch is designed to work with Dell, Compaq, IBM and HP servers, all PC notebook computers, and Compaq Alpha systems - ensuring a smooth and reliable operating experience regardless of the computer manufacturer.

To ensure further compatibility, the KVM switch includes 4 serial mouse adapters, allowing the switch to support PCs that require either a PS/2 or serial mouse.

The KVM switch supports PC selection using the built-on front panel pushbuttons or the integrated On-Screen Display (OSD), which allows PC selection from an on-screen menu of user-defined computer names.

A cost-effective solution, this competitively priced PS/2 KVM switch features a small form factor design that takes up minimal space (1U) in a server cabinet/rack or as a desktop installation.

Please Note: This product is designed to work in a "cascaded" configuration as a master KVM with non dual-user slave units attached.
